This Blue Tungsten Electrode, the 2.4mm 2% Lanthanated Tig Tungsten Electrode Pack of 10, is made for professional workshop and on-site work.
2.4mm 2% Lanthanated Tungsten Electrode – T24L2
Lanthanated electrodes are intended for applications in DC and AC welding. Their main areas of application are the welding of non-alloyed and high-alloyed steel, aluminium, titanium, nickel, copper and magnesium alloys. These electrodes are also intended for use in micro-plasma welding.
Ignition characteristics are enhanced with improved amounts of lanthanum oxide (La2O3). Colour-coding: WL10 = Black / WL15 = Gold / WL20 = Blue TR0014-24
Suited to TIG welding Provides superior arc starts Stainless steel, carbon Steel, Nickel alloys, Titanium and Aluminium.
Both 1.0% and 2% lanthanated tungsten electrodes offer superior arc starting at low amperages.
Best long electrode life and stability with a low burn-off rate.
lanthanated tungsten electrodes are often used in critical applications, such as in the aviation industry.
Is suitable for use to replace thoriated tungsten electrodes.
Works well on AC or DC electrode negative.
Won't flake and break down
Like ceriated electrodes, allow the arc to be started and maintained at lower voltages.
Trade Quality Not recycled
